Before the founding of SMart Nose SA, the development and commercialization of the SMart Nose? system was conducted by the own company created in 1996 in the name of Dr. Zesiger and called LDZ for “Laboratoire Dr. Zesiger”. LDZ started the development of the SMart Nose system in 1997. The SMart Nose was the first system of this type developed and commercialized worldwide.
The company is located in Marin-Epagnier, near Neuchatel in the French speaking part of Switzerland, at about 30 km of France. The Neuchatel region is well known for micro-technique and watch industries.
