美中醫(yī)藥開發(fā)協(xié)會 SAPA Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association   
美中醫(yī)藥開發(fā)協(xié)會(SAPA)是一個非贏利，專業(yè)社團(tuán)組織。創(chuàng)立十幾年來,己發(fā)展成為目前北美最為活躍的華人專業(yè)組織之一，并在美國和中國建立起了良好的聲譽和受到廣泛的尊敬。美中藥協(xié)在美國的35個州以及中國大陸，臺灣，香港和日本等地共擁有3000會員，設(shè)有新澤西-大紐約地區(qū)(總部)，新英格蘭(波士頓),美西(舊金山)，和大費城地區(qū)（費城）分會。為促進(jìn)中國醫(yī)藥產(chǎn)業(yè)的發(fā)展, 加強(qiáng)中美之間在生物/醫(yī)藥領(lǐng)域的交流與合作, 美中藥協(xié)總部及各個分會每年都舉行與醫(yī)藥和生物技術(shù)有關(guān)的年會及各種專題討論會和社會活動，發(fā)行自己的會刊，接待中國多方機(jī)構(gòu)和生物/醫(yī)藥訪美代表團(tuán)，并與中國多方面共同組辦國際生物技術(shù)和醫(yī)藥研討會，對中國的醫(yī)藥產(chǎn)業(yè)的發(fā)展起到了很大的推動作用。

美國大費城地區(qū)是世界醫(yī)藥研發(fā)與生產(chǎn)的中心之一,堪稱世界藥谷.這里匯集了世界最大的十家制藥企業(yè)中的七家,葛蘭素-史克(GSK)，默克(默沙東)(Merck)，強(qiáng)生(J&J)，惠士(Wyeth)，美時多-施貴寶(BMS)，阿斯利康(AstraZeneca)，和Sanofi-Aventis，同時有數(shù)以百計的中小型制藥和生物技術(shù)公司以及衆(zhòng)多世界著名生物醫(yī)藥學(xué)術(shù)研究機(jī)構(gòu),并聚集著數(shù)千名華裔高級醫(yī)藥研發(fā)，制造和管理人才。美中醫(yī)藥開發(fā)協(xié)會大費城地區(qū)分會(SAPA-GP)成立于2002年，是大費城地區(qū)華裔制藥和生物技術(shù)專家的主要協(xié)會，會員涵蓋化學(xué)和生物制藥產(chǎn)業(yè)及其他生命科學(xué)和醫(yī)療保健等所有領(lǐng)域。自分會創(chuàng)立已來，SAPA-GP的運作得到了以上跨國集團(tuán)公司，多家中國大型醫(yī)藥產(chǎn)業(yè)和生物技術(shù)公司,及眾多都志愿者的支持和協(xié)助。我們成功地組織了多次大型的中美之間醫(yī)藥產(chǎn)業(yè)，生物技術(shù)和醫(yī)藥開發(fā)策略及展望有關(guān)的年會及各種專題討論會，并派專業(yè)人員回國講學(xué)及為中國工業(yè)同仁辦醫(yī)藥研發(fā)和生產(chǎn)工藝的學(xué)習(xí)講座。我們接待了北京，上海，海南，大連，遼寧，山東，江蘇等中國政府部門，研究機(jī)構(gòu)，醫(yī)藥產(chǎn)業(yè)和生物技術(shù)公司的代表團(tuán)并組織了代表團(tuán)與美國醫(yī)藥研發(fā)及生產(chǎn)領(lǐng)域同仁的座談和交流。

Founded in 1993, the Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association (SAPA) grew rapidly and has become one of the most active and well-recognized Chinese-heritage enduring professional organizations in the United States. SAPA is an independent, nonprofit and professional organization with over 4,000 members in USA, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan. Its headquarters is based in the tri-state area (NY-NJ-CT) with three regional chapters in New England, Greater Philadelphia and California bay area, and one chapter in Shanghai, China.

SAPA is united by a commitment to promoting pharmaceutical science and technology and its essential roles in fostering member's career development. In service to science, SAPA facilitates communication among scientists, policy makers, government officers, educators, and journalists from both the United States and China through its interdisciplinary conferences, symposia, section meetings, seminars, workshops and diverse publications. In service to association, SAPA Programs draw upon the foremost experts and the most current information about advances in drug discovery and development to inform analysis and discussion of public health issues, to promote scientific exchanges and networking opportunities.
